As you may know we have 3 baby sulcata's. Smeagol our first recently chipped his beak and still eats but not with the same tremendous appitie that he used to have, and is feeling lighter. Has anyone experienced this, if so any suggestions?

you can see the chip on the very front of his beak looks like a upside down U.(its actually bigger than in this picture here, i wonder if he chipped it agian)

I had a box turtle chip a beak once.
Our vet uses a dremmel tool on beaks so I took the turtle in and all she did was smooth it out for us. That really helped because I think the unevenness of the beak was bothering the turtle.
We didn't have any problems after the vet did that.
That's something to consider, just get it smoothed out & make sure they're getting enough calcium in their diets.
