I usaully name my non mammal pets a name that begins with the letter of the scientific (latin) name.

hey I am now the proud owner of two painted turtles and I names the bigger one Remmington and the little one Peter. I don't think you really need anything serious. Just have fun with naming your turtle. They will love any name you give them.

How about 'Marge'? You know, for 'marginata'.
