my soft shell turt shell help !!!!!

philtodd1580 Nov 13, 2007 03:28 PM

hello out there i have a soft shelled turtle that i have had for many years. recently i noticed that the top of his shell looked like it had been scratched or something. what i think happened is that i have like this underground cave in his tank and i guess he has gotten alot bigger and started to scrap the top of his shell on the rock getting in and out. so now he has like this big scrape on his shell. is there anything i can do to fix it ? i took hi out of the big tank and into a smallwe one were water doesn't hit the scratched part of the shell to allow it to dry. i'm hoping that is a good idea. any suggestions or solutions plz plz plz post back !!!!

thanks

I HAVE use neosporin directly on the shell. This will hinder any fungus from growing.
