I have around 50 RES and yellow belly hatchlings in a 100 gal. aquarium with a stealth heater, fluval 4 plus, incandescent and UV lighting. Lately I've been having a problem with algae but only in certain areas of the tank and on some (not all) of the turtles shells. What would be a good way to control this?

Myself, I would buy nine more 100 gallon tank set ups to adequately house the turtles.

I actually have split them up between the 100 gal. and two 30 gal. aquariums. Still have the algae problem in the big one. Guess it has to be the way the morning light hits it through a window.
