This winter my sulcata is camping out in my garage, with a 150W ceramic heater in a watering trough filled with hay. I'm wondering if I should use Calcium w/ Vit. D3 or w/o D3? He will not be having UVB this winter. But he lives outside in the summer and gets plenty of sun.

Also (I should only use Calcium (w/o D3) in the summer, correct?)

I would provide the UVB,calcium, and vitamins all year round, since he's not getting the natural sunlight.

That still didn't answer my question...Many people allow their tortoises (here in texas) to be outside in the natural powerful UVA/UVB. The other 3 months they just stay down in their homemade burrows or in an artificial shelter with heat. My question is...

Do I feed Vit. D3 calcium or normal calcium?

Well the UVB is used for the absobtion of Vit D3. Without the UVB you will have too much D3 in his body witch can be harmful. So if your not using the UVB don't use the D3.
