bunkerhill165 Nov 25, 2007 07:23 PM

My albino pacman frog is not eating, and sommetimes actually turns away from his food.
His sides are turning green too also, im not sure what it is.
He has started to bury himself completly but his eyes are still open.
He hasnt eaten in forever, and is getting skinny.
Temp:70-80
Humidity:70
lighting:heating pad, and incandascent light on at nights
Substrate:ecoearth
environment:a shallow water dish and three terranium plants
tank: ten gallon

Please help, i dont think he will live much longer without food.

He can live months without food. MONTHS.

Also, we told you, get rid of the heat pad, or the light.

Both of them are too mcuh!

ok, the light is gone now, but i heard that a frog my size needs to eat like 6 crickets a day, but ima trust you then, cause i have a ball python he has gone like 6 months without eating at a time.

They don't NEED that much food at all. Too much food makes a picky frog.

When my pacman was about quarter sized, he got large crickets and super worms, maybe 2-3, 3 times a week. If you want a STRONG feeding response, keep them humid, and hungry.

Now (I got him this June) he is eating rat pinks, once a week.

Can you post a pic of your frog and your setup?

I have some pictures of him, but im not sure how to put more than one photo in a message at a time, so i will put them in different messages
This is his setup, and i DO NOT have the light on anymore, and this is after i tried to feed him in a smaller dish, so i put him in his water dish, he didnt go in there himself.

He looks healthy. Sometimes they will also go dormant during the winter as a result of decreasing daylight hours.

Do you mist him? I would mist at least once daily with dechlorinated water.

I mist him alot, and the humidity is always high. He was constipated last night, because i could see the poo, but he couldnt make it come out, so i put him in some water. And i just kept massaging that area so that it would come out and it did, i had to do that to my snake once, that snake was a lot harder lol
