Need help to decide

Wade Nov 27, 2007 04:25 PM

I have lots of snakes, corns, kings, milks, boas, pythons. For many years.

I want to get some small arboral snakes. Something that would go well in my old cameleon cages. I've been looking at rough green snakes but the reason I stopped raising cameleons was that I got sick and tired of chaseing crickets.

Any suggestons?

sorry for messing with the thread but I am really querious, have you found your expierience with chameleons rewarding enough?again sorry.

This is tough to respond to. I can't find the word querious in any of the online dictionaries. I can’t decide if I have been insulted. I am not sure how rewarding I should expect my experiences to be.

To try to answer your question, I enjoyed raising chameleons. They are very interesting reptiles. I always make a big deal out of everything and started out with 1.5 Veiled Chams and 1.5 Sambava Panthers. I quickly gathered eggs and soon had hundreds of babies. That means raising fruit flies and crickets by the thousands. That becomes a full time job. It was the insects that I got tired of, not the reptiles.

That is the reason I am reluctant to look too closely at Rough Green Snakes. I think they are beautiful but I would rather avoid insectivores.

Flying snakes are a realy cool snake or a vine snake but both eat lizards so thats not much better than crickets/

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm hoping to find something like that only one that will eat mice.
