Sweet. I just started keeping Alligator Lizards this year - I've got two Southerns.

Great looking als! How big are your madreans? Have you bred them?
I have a pair I collected from AZ in 2006. I'm used to southerns, and figured they were small juveniles. I was suprized to find them hooked up a month later. I figured at the female's size I'd be lucky to get 3 or 4 eggs, the following spring she laid 8 and a dud.
They continued to put on size this year, but aren't much bigger than yearling southerns. The female is also larger than the male and I'm curious as to whether or not he will eventualy surpass her in size.
Seven on the eggs hatched sucessfully and the babies seem to be growing at more or less the same rate as the southern babies I've raised in the past.
