pond liner a good idea?

thumper312dmx Dec 06, 2007 09:15 PM

i am looking to put a pond i my yard. I am plan on having snappers in it. I found a pond liner that is 60mils thick. I was wondering if that would work for snappers or if they would tear it. I am trying to stick with a liner so that i can create my own shape. Any advise will help.

Thanks,
Brian

I have used 45 mil EPMD liners that have proven quite durable. They do not hold up to black bears swimming in the pond but I would image could handle a snapper so a 60 mil definately could do so. Make sure you have a good underlayment to avoid stressing the liner in spots and thus weakening it.
