Fedex info before Cert atempt

JasonW Dec 08, 2007 09:50 PM

Hi. We are getting ready to expand and start shipping our snakes, We plan to use Fedex and become Certified as to do it legally. It is my understanding Fedex will supply everything and basically we just need to show them we can ship a box safe enough for a snake. Now in thinking about this I realized I have no idea how to safely ship a snake so can someone tell me how to properly do it?

P.S. If you answer is to not follow the rules and or don't tell them what is in the box please do not reply, We are looking to do this the "PROPER, LEGAL" way thanks a million

It's fairly easy to get FedEx certified. Have your package tested and sign a waiver furnished by your rep and ship. More detailed instructions can be found at this link. It took me about 10 days to go through the process. My sales rep is enen a herper up in Dallas.

Thanks a million but again I understand what needs to be done, what I am looking for is a detailed walk through on how to pack the box. I have never shipped a live animal and want to know how.

Thanks for the offer but no thanks. Cheating is what will make us loose the privilege to ship so I will opt to do it the proper, honest way.
