Bowel movements???

robnpg Dec 10, 2007 12:36 PM

Ok, I could have been more tactful with my subject title, but couldn't think of any other way to put it...Anyhow, I've had my baby frilled for almost a month now (guessing he is about 3-4 months old), and since I've had him, he's only had like 2 bowel movements. He doesn't eat a lot at all (maybe 5-10 crickets a week), and he won't touch mealworms.
My questions are how many movements typically should I be expecting from him, is he eating too little and recommendations of what I should do...
Thanks!

5-10 crickets a week does seem abnormally low... mine eats and used to eat about that much in one day. Mine doesnt eat mealworms either, shes tried but lets go when theyre in her mouth. I usually put the crickets in a cup for her and she eats right out of the cup. Tell me if that works out for you. You dont want to just dump crickets in there, especially if there are a lot of places for them to hide. Ive noticed that my frillie will poop and then the poop will "disappear". This can happen if your using a soil like substrate , it will get covered in the substrate and become unnoticable.
