Schott's whip from Tuesday

Here's a nice young Male that blasted out from under a board. He was a nice change of pace for the area, Nueces county, Texas.

Beautiful snake!
Schott's whipsnake is one of the most beautiful native snakes in my opinion. I only wish they were kept in captivity as I have found the whipsnakes to be just as much fun as the coachwhips. My Desert Striped is one of the most fascinating snakes I have ever kept, and it is a great display animal.
Do you ever come upon any Ruthven's whipsnakes?

Kev,

We need to get back in touch, I sold you those piceus. I am doing smoking red westerns in the spring. I will be breeding racers, coachwhips, whipsnakes etc. We all need to work together on these projects! Give me a ring 719-994-5805.

Yeah! I'll give you a ring, the coachwhips you sold me are doing great, the male's damn near five feet. I also have a bright red banded sonoran coachwhip that I'm trying to pair up.

I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting a Ruthvens' yet, only Schotts', and Central Texas whips. Hopefully next season will yield one or two!
