clear graphics on pics

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with how people but their name in their pics. I have been trying to do it with out graphic software but with no success. The stuff I am speaking of is when you go to a breeder�s website and click on the picture and it pops up enlarged. You can see a clear business logo or name over the image. I was hoping someone knows how to do this or could just suggest some software I might try. Thanks

It can be done with PhotoShop Create a clear logo .gif then take the photo you want to add the logo to and add the logo .gif as a layer to the photo you are working with
