i purchased a solomn island ground boa from my local pet store. she's wild caught. the owner said she wasnt eating, and gave me a great deal because he doesnt have the time to get it to feed. im trying an anole right now, but it doesnt seem to be working too well since it was sitting on her and no reaction. deoes anyone have any ideas?

Try green/gray tree frogs or spring peepers (no toxic species such as red bellied frogs). House geckos work occasionally with mixed results.
Good luck.

This may sound kinda weird but it works for me if there are stubborn ones, get cooked chicken - small pieces and put some chopped chicken in a cup with the pinkie (whole), its kinda like a "pinkie marinade" this scents it and does work for me, with all snakes from boas to corns, and they are easily weaned off it to eat normal pinks/fluffs.

worth a go at least?

have fun..........linda

thanks for the help. i tried everything, and she wouldnt eat, frozen mouse, live house gecko, anoles and green tree frogs, but nothing worked. i threw in a live mouse in a last ditch effort before force feeding... i leave the room come back mouse is being devoured. the anole frog and gecko were all taken out and have been all given their own cages if anyones wondering.
once again thanks a lot
