Hi, im new here and alot of people on here seem to know alot about frilleds and i have a few questions.
1. Alot of you guys say your lizards play, how do they play becuse all mine does is sit in his branch all day but comes down to feed, have a paddle in his water bowl (but im at school for most of the day and i got this info on days off/holidays.
2. How do you tame yours as i handle mine a few minutes every day and im going to start hand feeding but hes still a little skittish
and hides alot but most of the time hes fine with me being around.
3. Sexing, hes about a foot and a half/a foot and a quarter but im
not sure what sex he is( im call him a he cause his names rex)and his about 16 months old i think.
Please give me answers to my questions or advice, thanks in advance.

Ok, to answer the first question... frilled lizards dont really "play". They can be active, but that has a lot to do with the setting. Mine became a lot more active when I got her in a much larger cage. I would say that if you do not have at least something that is say... 3x4x4 or 160 gallons at least, he wont be happy and he will not move around a lot. Now the second question... most frilleds are skittish when they are younger. As they grow they tend to be more comfortable with the owner. I've heard it takes about 3 months to a year so it really depends, just keep holding him and after a while he will lighten up. The good thing is that they almost never bite. As for sexing, you can never really be sure... dont try to check yourself. If you care about it that much, have a vet check because it is quite dangerous to do it yourself.
