I have a Fluval 404 canister filter for my 75 gallon turtle tak. It has suddenly stopped working, as in I can't get it to start pumping water after the last time I cleaned it. I can hear the motor running, but no matter how much water I pump into the thing it won't get going. I have no gravel in my tank. Any idea what could be going on?

Unfortunately I had the same problem with my brand new one.
After exchanging it and having the same thing happen,
I took it back and switched it for a Rena filter. This has
worked without any problems what so ever.
The sales person said that lately a lot of Fluvals are
being returned due to the same problem. If yours is
relatively new I would take back to the store.
