Need help identifying frog from Texas

saleenadam Jan 05, 2008 08:07 PM

I was out cleaning a nature preserve today and managed to bring this frog home with me inside of an empty (or so I thought) antifreeze container that I removed and can't figure out what kind of frog it is. It is from Cypress, Texas aka Northwest Houston. Here are a few pictures of it (just FYI since it looks weird it's hanging on a white door in the first pic).

I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like a chirping frog (Syrrhophus marnocki).

I don't know my best guess right now is that they are Squirrel Treefrogs with a pattern different from what i'm used to seeing, the sad thing is that now i've managed to bring home and relocate to the creek by my house 17 of them in various pieces of litter since they seem to like hiding in it.
