If you can get a picture of its vent area I can let you know what it is.

thanks ...my camera is on the fritz so i was wondering could you describe what it is about the vent the will allow me to tell the difference...i have heard something about seeing V's and that = male ..if this is so..i think i have a female because there is only one V mark/curve that extents from its legs to a point in the middle just above the beginning of the tail. I also think its a female because it is only 12 inches long at most...and i have heard male get to be sometimes 15 inches.

thanks for your help
p.s. just thought if you have any pictures of female and or male Tokay geckos post them if you don't thats ok...thank again for all your help
