Whats the deal with chicks and quail and all other food besides rats....Is it better ... Does it make them grow bigger?

As far as for Dumerils, some people such as snakeman97, say they've had luck getting non feeders to take quail. I don't think it's done for any other reason than trying to offer a prey item a snake will take. I used to have some Olive Pythons, and one would only take quail, so that's why I bought them....and subsequently sold them! I've never had to resort to Quail for my Dumerils, but wouldn't hesitate trying them if nothing else (mice/rats) seemed to be working. Take care

My Dumi's will eat rats, mice & chicks. They'll both kill quail, but will not eat them. My female olive python will eat chicks, quail & mice, but will not touch rats. She just snifs them & then ignores them. My male olive, I call him the exterminator, will eat anything I give him. I feed him last, so if no one else will eat what I give them I know he will. My d'alberts python will eat mice, chicks & rats, but will only kill quail. My green anaconda will eat mice, chicks & quail, but will not touch rats. I mostly feed quail cause where I buy them they're cheap. Jumbo rats are about $5 each. quail are $2.
