Ambystoma opacum

Marbled Salamanders are hard to photograph to me. The dark body needs a certain background and perfect lighting. Also, this species is hard to get to lift its head up, which makes it hard to get enough light on its eyes to show any detail of the iris etc.

This one was photographed in Limestone Co., Alabama recently.
