Hybrid Snapper?

wing Jan 18, 2008 04:24 AM

Is it possible for a common snapper and AST to produce a hybrid offspring? If so, has anybody seen any?

Never seen it. would be very interesting but I'm not sure if it could happen?

Couple of months ago, I saw this hybrid between a Diamondback Terrapin and map turtle. So why not AST and CST? I think it can be possible. But would probably look very similar to CST.

If it were possible, it would have to be a large female alli, as a big male alli would rather chomp on the smaller female IMO.

I'd say get a pair of commons. Breed them and after the male locked up with the female through the male common in with the female ally snapper and he should be in the mood and lock on to her... I want to cross my super hypo common with my leucistic ally snapper????
