Newbie here. Two weeks ago our one year old AFT laid one egg, which after a couple days shriveled up, and we are guessing it was infertile. Yesterday, she laid two more eggs, and my daughter and I are very excited but are wondering about the question of fertility. The other female is not gravid it seems.

We keep two females and one male(albino) (and are 95% sure of the sexes) in one vivarium. They seem healthy and not stressed, and eat well (crickets, wax worms, calcium and vitamin dusted; and also an occasional goldfish. We did a cool off period for about six weeks last Oct15 Nov30.

Photo attached, do those eggs (1 day old) look fertile?

The eggs look pretty good to me. I personally don't give up on any egg until it is either growing something or smells so bad you can't stand it any longer.

Good Luck.

It's to early to say, but they're looking good at this point.
