Hi,
I recently purchased to mantella frogs (one painted and one brown) and i have rarely seen them. I placed them in a 20 gallon set-up with lots of hiding places and they never come out. They hide all the time. I have only seen them eat once, but I place fruit flies in their cage about 2-3 times a week. Is this normal! Any help, suggestions, or info, regarding these frogs would be greatly appreciated.

i'm not sure if this is normal as i have never kept mantellas, but i do know a little bit about them. you shouldn't keep different species in the same tank, for many reasons. is your tank well planted with a lot of hiding spots? leaf litter usually makes frogs feed more secure if you don't allready have some. i do know that the the crocea are a little shy.

for info on the different species.
good luck and you really should put them in 2 different tanks.
