I've got a 8 month old crested gecko and I'm still not sure if it's male or female. How old does it need to be for me to be sure? I can post a picture if it'll help, but it's not showing any signs of being male so far.

do you know its weight? do you have a magnifying loupe? if there is no indication of pre-anal pores, you could say "probable" female at this point. you should be certain at about 15-18 grams if still no pores, however, some "females" have sprouted a bulge and proved otherwise after as long as a year!

I don't have her current weight because my lab tried to eat my scale. =/ I'll have to get a new one. What's a magnifying loupe, and where can I buy one?
