I was just wondering which states will not permit any turtle or tortoise to be sold or owned period exotic or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Tennessee is one. You can harvest common snappers, but otherwise you cannot collect/ keep/ purchase/ sell/ transport live turtles in TN without various permits not available to ordinary citizens.
I believe persons moving into the state who have pet chelonians can get some sort of permit which allows them to keep their pets.
Yes I know Tennessee is bad fiding info on other states has not been easy. Thanks for the input, hopefully more will post.
you cannot have a pet turtle in north carolina,and i believe that native turtles are illegal in georgia.i could be wrong on georgia,so feel free to correct me.
