addictedtoherps Feb 06, 2008 06:53 PM

I was just wondering which states will not permit any turtle or tortoise to be sold or owned period exotic or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Tennessee is one. You can harvest common snappers, but otherwise you cannot collect/ keep/ purchase/ sell/ transport live turtles in TN without various permits not available to ordinary citizens.

I believe persons moving into the state who have pet chelonians can get some sort of permit which allows them to keep their pets.
