Have you checked out bluetongueskinks.net? It's a great site. As for a words of wisdom, I'd say go with a balanced diet. It's not as hard as it sounds, just good mixes of veggies, meats, and fruit. Have fun, they're a blast.

what about UVB some places they say yes and some say no does it help or is there no difference.

From everything I have read about UVB light and blue tongues...it is unknown whether they need it or not. However it certainly doesn't hurt. I use UVB with my skinks, they haven't complained, are active during the day, eat well etc.

Your cage is a great size, though BTS don't need that much height, they are not really climbers...then again mine do try and climb the walls of their 5'x2'x18" cage time to time...the noise is annoying but it does keep their claws warn down...

Look into Mercury Vapor bulbs. Great UV output and heat source in one bulb. Most come with a built in ballast so you can screw them into a "normal" heat lamp (ceramic housing, of course).
