Not sure, but to me this looks like C. b. australis. Any takers on proving me right or wrong?
Thanks!

Solomon Island Ground Boa Candoia carinata paulsoni, sorry not australis.

Thanks, I wasn't sure and the pics for australis were difficult to compare to. Personally I am glad since my first guess was correct.

I hope this doesn't sound like a dumb question, but: How do you tell a Candoia Carinata Carinata from a Candoia Carinata paulsoni? The reason that I am asking is I have/keep Candoia carinata carinata and have two snakes that are supposed to be the same speices (C.carinata.carinata), but one looks different than the other. Thanks for putting up with a dumb question!
Carinata are much smaller than paulsoni. Maximum lengths for carinata are around 24 inches (and they are thin) with paulsoni getting up over 3 feet in some cases. Most carinata around have a lightened coloration right above the cloaca on their back too...most, but not all.
Its actually easy to tell them apart once you have seen both, but do you have pics?

yes, i do and will post them as soon as possible.
That would help for sure.
When you say one looks different than the other, are you referring to size, color/pattern, or what?
Thanks,
