Anyone have info on boophis a. albilabri

Cjacques Feb 19, 2008 05:36 PM

Also known as a Eastern White-Lipped Treefrog. I have a fairly large one that I recently got and can not find any info on them. They are from Madagascar. Keeping him in a high humidity large Exo Terra Terrarium with lots of cover. But he seems uncomfortable, and will not eat. Cage temp is around 80 degrees. Thanks for any help.

I just bought a pair and am having the same problem. They have a good set up with lots of perches but they just sit on the ground in the corner practically on top of each other. I don't know if it is a problem but I have them in a 55 gal with a few Whites. They seemed fine at the Herp store, I thought they were acclimated? Do you think that the Whites could disturb them? Do you have a care sheet for boophis or any info at all, I can't find much.

Personally I wouldnt recomend keeping them with white's. I am not big on mixing frog species. It can cause complications. Mine seems to be doing well now. He still spends lots of time siting in the substrate however this is followed by sporatic activity (usually at night or the early morning). Mist yours daily, keep em aroun 80 degrees. Thats what I am doing and it seems to be working. I havent been able to find any care sheets or info on them however. Good luck!
