1 month vacation - leopard frog care?

trex8692 Feb 27, 2008 08:43 PM

if i were to go on a 1 month vacation, would the northern leopard frog that i have be able to live without food for that time period?

by the time i decide on vacationing the frog would be about 1.5-1.8 years old and right now is feeding great on crickets

He should be fine; if you're worried, put a bunch of worms (not crickets) in with him; he can feed on them while you're gone. A greater worry would be that his habitat could dry out; You might cover most of the ventilation to reduce evaporation.

well that seems to be the problem

my terrariu mi have set up for my frog has been made so that it is almost 90 percent water with a small turtle dock for land mass

im not sure if that turtle dock can hold worms

no, you need to get some1 to feed it at least once, so it only goes 2 weeks without eating. i would put some feeder fish or crawfish in there just in case though.
