Just happened to measure the weight of my Solares before and after their standard 30 minute hydration soak. I was suprised to see that they averaged >2% weight gain due to drinking. I find this interesting, I'm wondering if there isn't a signficant relationship between hydration and post-hibernation weight gain. I plan on tracking this for a little while, at least while I'm plumping them up before they go to the outside (less controlled) enclosure.

Has anyone read articles on this subject, or maintained any experimental data?

Thanks,
Roger
