Morph's more docile?

rottenweiler9 Mar 04, 2008 04:20 PM

Hello,

I have read a few things and maybe I am reading them wrong, but are the morphs that Nerd (Kevin) sells more docile and tolerate holding more?

I really liked them when I saw them at the show. I thought they where fake rubber lizards, when I walked by. Very cool. So, I have a 5ft cage that needs some use.

Thank you

Yes his Tokays are pretty nice. He can reach in and just grab most of them. Only draw back is price. I'm wanting to buy some off him but I dont have that kind of money right now myself.

I don't think it's necessarily that morphs are more docile but that captive born Tokays are. I've got some wc calicos that would just love to bite you every time if you're not careful. But I suspect the cb babies from them will be just fine with handling.

The good majority of NERDs Tokays are WC. Yet somehow he gets them tame. All the ones on his site you see that are being held are WC. Me and Kev have talked a lot and we both agree you have to establish trust with them. They dont know people and dont trust, if you dont to grabbing them and gently get them up on your had they will learn you arnt there to hurt them and will eventually trust you and let you just pick them up. It does take time, lots of work, ability to take pain. . lots of pain. .but will pay off if your willing to do it. But yes. . they are like little vampires lol.

Sorry ment to add that CB are still blood hungry but they calm down easier. Just work with them as babys and they'll work out pretty very nicely. Seems to be a inheritable thing. . born to kill lol. There is a rumor goin that if you have tame animals and breed them that the babys are alot more tame. But I have not evidence to prove this as my adults are mean as sin.
