I have had a SMJ frog for over 2 yrs now and am thinking about breeding it.
I was wanting to know if anyone knows anything about breeding them. Also how to sex them.

Thank you
Cody

you will have to do some research on thier breeding habits and what enviromental requirements they like to breed in. as for sexing, males have a hard, black spur that looks like toe on the inside of their front feet.

So if it has black things on its chest its a male.

if they have black spurs on the inside of their front feet and "nipples" on their chest, then it is a male, but only if it has spurs on the feet.
you can check www.markmlucas.com, he has had pics depicting the different sexes in the gallery on his website.

The forelimbs of males are nearly twice the size of the females.
Females have normal size forelimbs. (L. pentadactylus)

Sure. I bought mine from a breeder at the New England Reptile Expo a year or so back. Interestingly enough he said he kept his in his basement with no extra heat (so 70F or so).

I wish I knew his name, or where he is located, but I never grabbed a card.
