Thought I'd post pics of my new girl...got her at a reptile shop (prehistoric pets)...think she might be gravid
Got her home and was stoked to find out that she LOVES CGD. I was surprised because she only got crickets at the shop.
Also attached her future boyfriend (currently separated). Cant wait to introduce them to each other!

do you know her age and weight? make sure you give her plenty of extra calcium, and quarantine her in a separate room from your male for at least 60 days, preferably 90. if she is gravid, and it's important to you to know who the father of her babies are, you may want to keep them separated until she stops laying, as she can retain sperm for up to 8 months. what kind of substrate do you have her on? you may want to consider paper towels with a lay box rather than bark chips, which can cause impaction. once she's out of quarantine, you can use eco earth and create a bioactive substrate and she can lay wherever she wants but you'll have to search for eggs. i would also recommend more leafy hiding places, such as silk garlands around the top of the cage or bushes. cresteds prefer hiding in foliage as opposed to "caves" and "rocks."

Thanks for your advice...I currently have her quarantined and am switching her to paper towels tonight after your suggestion She seems to be getting fatter by the day and my only fear is that its impaction and not eggs :-/
To answer your questions I dont have a scale so dont know her weight...I would guess her age at 10-12 months but am not sure. I am keeping CGD in with her at all times and am going to put a cap of calcium powder in with her tonight.

excellent. i don't know if impaction causes bloating, but i don't think it causes weight gain. once you have her on paper towels, you should be able to monitor her waste output. if she's pooping, she should be fine.

oh yeah, and you might want to consider turning your tank on its end so that it's vertically oriented - your gecko will thank you
