After a suggestion by Warnersister I flipped my cage on its end and fabricated a hatch on the old lid. My geckos love it!
Anyone have any ideas for getting foliage/hiding features to reach the top?

I've seen vines that attach with suction cups, but I don't know that I'd trust that to withstand a jumping crestie; sometimes they hit stuff pretty hard when they land, and that might rip the suction cup right off the wall. You could clip stuff to the upper part of the screened side I suppose...

Thanks for the ideas...i worked today on making it more arboreal, using the full vertical space more efficiently now.
I still need to get some more foliage for day-hiding, they love it at night though!! Some courtship behavior going on as this is being written
!!

cool. curious, what did you mean by courtship behavior?
here are some pics of some of my tanks - i use the suction cups you find at walmart. the mini size works fine for me but they do have larger ones as well if your gecko tends to pull them off. moistening them with a drop of water before you attach them will help them to stick. every week or so you can push on them until they click so they stay attached.
i find nice fake plants at michael's, walmart, big lots, the dollar store, petco, petsmart, and reptilesupply.com.

same tank redone

Oh man, your tanks look awesome. Thats what Im shooting for, i didnt know they sold fake plant at wal-mart/big lots etc...ill check that out.
By "courtship behavior" I was referring to my male following the female around and trying to climb on top of her...he nips her tail-stub as he comes up from behind and she normally turns around and returns a few bites herself. Is this normal courtship stuff? If the female seems annoyed should I separate them?
thanks.
yes, that is normal mating behavior, but i thought you were quarantining them! this means they should not even be in the same room for 30-90 days in case a contagious disease manifests itself with one of them after the change in environment. and it is especially important that you know her weight before you put her in with him again, because if she is too light, the eggs are going to cause tremendous stress on her body and she could calcium crash.

Had the opportunity to weigh her today...31 grams. Is this too small to mate/bear eggs safely?
a tad. she should be okay if you give her as much calcium as she wants, but ideally she should be at least 35 grams WITHOUT eggs.
