Solare Weights?

rkhorne Mar 12, 2008 11:02 AM

Just curious, have any of you weighed you Solares lately? I would like to know if my two are in the norm for 2.5 year olds.

2005 Male = 44.1g
2005 Female = 18.9g (she was a dwarf that didn't hardly grow at all her 1st year, then really took off last year, pretty much tripling her weight. Hoping to see similar growth this year.)

BTW....male went into hibernation in December at ~ 39g, came out on 3/3 at 35.7g, then gained nearly 10g in his 1st week out of hibernation?! He's eating like a pig, and the female is now starting to eat the same way.

Thanks,
Roger

I currently have 3 adult females:

1. currently at 78g, from a high of 89g just after ending hibernation in early Feb. Pre-hibernation weight was 92g. She is in recovery after 6 weeks of illness and treatment of Albon and Panacur. She is just beginning to self feed again.
2. rescue taken in from a hunter last fall: currently at 59g. 55g upon receiving.
3. rescue#2 from same hunter: currently at 57g. 50g upon receiving. ( both hibernated from Nov. until just last week and are eating well )

Also: one yearling female at 28g that hibernated until Feb.

And a previous 3 year old male which weighed in at max 55g before becoming ill.
