My dum finally ate

drock1985 Mar 19, 2008 08:47 PM

After about 3 weeks he has finally ate and it was a beautiful site. It took him about a min to attack and it was all over from there. He had a lil problem because he was trying to eat him from his tail. but after 10 min he figured that he need to eat him head first. Thanks everyone who gave me advise.

Did you change something in the way you feed him to stimulate this or did he just decide to do so?

He just decided to eat. I guess he was still getting used to his enclosure. because for like the past 3 days he has been coming out at night. and then on tuesday night he was acting strange. It looked like he was trying to get out, he was very active and i havent seen him like that. so on wendeseday i went and picked up a mouse from the pet store. I put the mouse in the feeding cage first then i put my dum in. and about after 10 sec i knew he was gonna eat cause he started moving toward the mouse very very slowly. you cloud bearly tell he was moving, but you knew he was because he wasnt in the same spot. and say about a minute later after getting into stricking range it was all over for the mouse. They say that they like to eat at night but mine didnt mind eating during the day, i guess he was really hungry.
