Regarding UV, you're going to have to dole out a little cash. Others can tell you what bulbs are best, but you need to give your turts both UVA/B. Natural sunlight, of course, is best. But be very careful of over-heating.

Here's a list of food I feed my res's.

1. ReptoMin
2. Crickets
3. Worms
4. Meal worms
5. Crystal shrimp
6. Fish chunks
7. Shrimp
8. Cooked chicken
9. A little raw beef, or hamburger
10. Green, leafy lettuce
11. Tomatoes
12. Corn kernels
13. Egg shells
14. Dried minnows
15. Dried freshwater shrimp/krill
16. Water lettuce
17. Locusts

Main thing is, be careful of raw beef, or any raw meat. And ReptoMin is essential.

Good luck,

CC
