Fattening fat tail

LNDgeckos Mar 30, 2008 12:44 PM

Hi I want to start breeding my two amel fat tail geckos but they are not breeding weight yet. I feed them gut loaded crickets occasional meal worms because they don't always take them. I fed the female a pinkie mouse about two weeks ago. How many times a month ish can you feed fat tails pinkies. I breed leopard geckos and i only give the females pinkies when they have laid there eggs and look weak. I am new to fat tails. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. And what would be another food to fatten them up quicker.

Pesonally I have had good luck with one or two pinky mice per week for the females during the breeding season together with wax worms and crickets. Just don't wait with the pinkies until the females get skinny but start feeding them right out of hibernation.

Hope this helps,
