Just a few pics of my L.z.multicincta

Patton Mar 31, 2008 10:20 AM

This is my '05 Bass Lake pair. I'm hoping they breed this year.
Due to a move, they had a short brumation. Only a month and a half. So I'm thinking they may not. We'll just have to wait and see?
The female just had her post brumation shed, and both the male and female are eating like pigs. Jerry, I'm doing my best! LOL!!! First pics of the female....

......and the male.

Thanks!

Those things might pass for being Pueblan Milks. A cool zonata subspecies.

Pueblan phase Zonata, kinda like orange flavored cranberrys.
LOL!!

Yeah, only the Pueblan is more stoutly built. Her's my largest male Pueblan:

Superficially like a Pueblan. I love milks too and have eight Pueblans but zonatas are in a class of their own according to my personal taste. Only the L. pyromelana is a close second to L. zonata for overall beauty and desirability. I prefer the Sierra and St. Helena races to most of the San Diegos, at least from the Lagunas. Their white bands are too thin like a Sinaloan. I much prefer the wider white banded Santa Monica Mtn. pulchras.

my snake looks just like your snakes here..I've been looking online for info on my snake, it was caught wild about 2 months ago and I've been trying to figure out what species it is. I believe it is the same as you've got there, but how do I know the difference between kings and milks?
