A few questions.

I have a simple compatibilty question.
Can red eyed tree frogs be housed with tiger leg monkey tree frogs? Will there be harmful competition, fighting, cannibalism expected when mixing these species? I believe they are both non toxic, but it would be nice if somebody could confirm that.

In a 55 gallon (Four feet long, 1 foot wide, 2 feet tall) enclosure. Coconut bedding, lots of hiding spots of course, some species of philodendron, small palms, bamboo, bird's nest sanseveria, ferns, tillansia and other epiphytes will all be included. I want to install a water fall too.

Twin flourescent lights (for the plants, not frogs)
Humidity : 80-90 constant
Temperature : 80 degrees (do I need a night drop?)

How many of each frog should be purchased? Are there any other similar species that you would recommend?

mixing frogs is not recommended.

the species you have listed have different needs. the red eyes need more humidity and cooler temps then the Tiger leg who needs hotter temps and a drier tank...

even in a tank that size, you couldnt provide them with the neccessary elements to be able to thrive together.. they might live, but not for very long..

not to mention the risk of spreading disease to and from each frog...

for the health of the animals, i wouldnt do it...

however, that size of a tank will comfortably house several of those frogs if you stick to one species..

good luck with whatever you choose to do..
