I am assuming that p.pictus geckos can and do produce unfertilized eggs? My gecko has never been around a male, and she seems to have produced her first egg today. She is 1 year old today, it's her hatch day, but is this normal? she is a very big girl, I thought she was a male until today because she is 6 inches long, which is BIG for the species. Do I need to do anything for her aside from providing additional calcium? Thanks!

get her a mate! if she's happy enough to lay without a male, imageine how happy she will be with one! i would give her a egg laying site, cuz she could still be eggbound, even if it's infertile.
