So I havn't gotten much answers about these.

I have 2 Green Basilisk in a 6x5x4 enclosure and am looking into buying some Metal Halides.

These guys are a little over 1.5 years old and I currently use 10.0 ExoTerra SunGlo bulbs for UVB.

So what type of Metal Halides should I use for this big of an enclosure? (No expensive ones, but ones that are better than my 10.0s and under maybe 40$ a piece)

I also need to know where to get the Ballast and anything else needed as I dont think you can get these at your local stores.

Specifics on what what Metal Halides help a lot as I havn't had a chance to read too much on these except a few articles, but there are SO many different types. I don't want to overdo the light intake either, but i doubt that will happen in a big enclosure.

Provided you have electrical wiring experience, Ballasts are available at most commercial electric and lighting suppliers.

An inexpensive option would be to purchase a MH fixture and cannibalize it for the parts.

Make sure you use a ceramic socket, and use prudence when assembling your light.

MH burn VERY hot, and should be over the enclosure but not in it.
