filtration question???

trsatrtr Apr 05, 2008 02:28 PM

I just got a 300 gallon stock tank for my snapping turtle. It was only $60 on craigs list. I am planning on using it as an outside enclosure but i don't know what type of filter I should get. My snapper is only 3 inches so he won't be using the tank until next summer but I would like to go ahead and get it set up now. Any suggestions would be apprecited.

Since its going to be outdoors, I would use some kind of pond filter. Something thats cycling the water at least TWICE an hour.

Currently in the US Navy so I have sold off my collection. But over the years I have had dozens of turtles, fish, geckos, and other lizards. Cant wait to get back in the hobby once im out though!
