Escaped Leopard gecko

ryuman1 Apr 06, 2008 11:19 AM

I returned from a vacation saturday and found that one of my leopard geckos was missing. My father said he was there friday.(my father then left out of town) So the gecko has had as much as a day to run around my house. Any suggestions to find him? i have cricket containers set in several rooms hoping to attract him but it hasn't worked.

If you look on the leopard gecko forum, several people had this problem and said that putting a moist/humid hide on the floor with a heat source brought them out. Also said they have found them in warm places...refrig, water heater, etc. Hope this helps! Someone even said they found one after six months, still alive!

Hey,

I had a Leo escape from his tank. I tried everything to get him. Tried luring him with food, staying up late at night because he was nocturnal, putting up a basking light in the middle of the house, exc. My dog was actually the one that found him, he started whimpering so I took out a flash light and I finally found the gecko hiding inside the couch.

So don't lose hope he's bound to show up somewhere.
