Update on Candling

Beth60 Apr 12, 2008 09:18 PM

I got the light out today and was able to candle the eggs. Even though they are yellowish (probably from being laid in the substrate), I can definitely see the little red spider veins in two of them! The two that I found under those that had probably been there for awhile are likely duds as I can't see anything. This is just too exciting though.

Incubate the older two just in case as I am quite sure after a few weeks the egg becomes too opaque for candling to show much... if they don't smell rotten, then incubate...
