Possible, yes, but I would NOT recommend it at all! They are very similar in appearance, so I have to disagree with any sort of spectacular offspring as a result. You can find, and I have produced many Dumerils that look nearly identical to a Madagascan Ground Boa. There are some differences, but the easiest to notice is the head scalation before the eyes. The two are different though in enough ways, that it just wouldn't be benefical to cross them. The MGB's are worth quite a bit more, get larger, and generally produce smaller litters. The Dumerils are cheaper, smaller, and generally have larger litters of smaller babies, but still no huge 30 baby litters like is commonly found in BCI. You'd end up with a cross that would basically be worthless as anyone wanting a MGB, wants it to be pure and have proof of it's background. Of course 100 bucks(dumerils) vs. 750 (MGB) should explain that. The only reason I see someone doing it, would be to pick up a male MGB and breed it to a Dumerils female, and then try to pawn off the babies as "pure" MGB. If you want to produce awesome babies, just be very picky when you pick out your Dumerils. There are so many out there, from some really good breeders, that there is just no reason to settle for an "ugly" Dumerils. I know you were just thinking out loud, but that's my honest take on it, and most would probably agree to some point. (at least I hope they would-lol) Cool to see someone excited about Dumerils in general though, take care!
