I have a four year old prehensile tail skink that is as sweet as can be, but I still cannot tell if it is a male or female. Would love some tips on sexing. Do they do the sperm blug thing like blue tongues?
Thanks

The best sexing pic I have seen is on the Yahoo Corucia group, here - http://pets.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/corucia/photos/view/b11b?b=2
This appears to be the most accurate way of sexing - I have been able to sex my baby skink at a couple of weeks old using this (or at least I think I have - the scales on babies are so small).
That's a cool site thanks for the info I will try to sex him/her tonight.
No problem, let us know how you got on!
It can be tricky depending on how patient your skink is; some of mine are very feisty and wouldnt tolerate me examining their vents...luckily these have all been quite easy to identify as females as their body shapes are so typical!
Shammy is super tame so it was very easy to tell with the vent, plus the pear shape, small head. I just received a pair of 3 year old tanibars yesterday that are super tame besides the hissing. Hopefully they will make some babies for me next season so I can get some more monkey tails or at least a male. Thanks again
