Ok, so I know how to sex the adult, but I came across this little guy at Petco which is around 3 inches, probably a little more, from nose to the tip of the tail. I know that cresty has to be around 4 to 6 months old to be able to sex, but even then that can be tricky. Here is the problem, though: I do not know how old he/she is. All I know that he is a little over 3 inches long from nose to the tip of the tail. How old do you think it is. When I check at the base of the tail, it has no hempinal bulldge like the one i have. There is however a slight bump, I mean very slight, which is hardly noticable. If this is a female, I would like to buy it since they are selling it for only $49.99 plus tax. That is a good price for a female. I would like to hear from the experts and more experience keeper about this.

you can usually accurately loupe sex a gecko which is 3 inches SVL (snout to vent length), and sometimes younger if you have very good magnification and experience looking for pores, but a bulge may not appear until a male is much older. the gecko you are looking at is much too small to sex, as it is likely only a couple months old. petco's price is good for any gecko, male or female. if you like the looks and it appears healthy, go for it.
