pacman cant use front leg

helly_belly May 10, 2008 05:54 AM

Hi all,
My pacman has't been overly well for a few weeks, just lethargic and not eating much. Gave him a total tank clean out yesterday and he does seem much happier, but when I took him out of the tank to clean him out I noticed he cant use one of his front legs very well, its not swollen, its not red, theres no wound on it, it just doent work well if at all. He never has moved much which I know is a trait of the species and I dont handle him much as I know the oil in our skin can hurt them.
There isn't an exotics vet anywhere near me.
Is HydraLife ok to use on amphibians and would it help?
Any ideas what to do with his poor leg as he cant move very freely, he's all wobbly and I hate to see him struggle.
Thanks for any replies, they will be very much appreciated.

Could be chytrid. The lamasil treatment is the best. Are you dusting? Could be mbd but not sure. I would treat for chytrid first.Good luck

Hydra life is not recommended for frogs. Sounds like it could be a case of either MBD or possibly an injury from a fall or something falling on the frog. How long has he been in this condition?
