I need ideas. I got a skinny gecko from a friend and he wont eat hardly anything. Ive tried crickets, CGD, fruit and baby food. He wont touch anything. I was told he was fed baby food once a week previously but he wont touch it. Hes had a cricket or two and a little of the diet but thats it. Hes not critically skinny but Id like to fix this before he is. Any ideas? Thanks!

I seriously think the more fur an animal has, the more attention it wants....I need a goldfish.

it may be weak, try to give it pure calcium, or mix it with the food youre feeding it. it might help. you could also try butter worms. mine love them

Hes not weak at all, hes VERY active. Thats one of the reasons Im not too concerned yet.

How long have you been trying to 'fatten' him up? How old is the crested gecko? What is your setup?

If he is eating what you do give him.. then keep feeding him what he likes as long as its healthy. Adult crested geckos only need to be fed about 3-4 times a week, babies more often.

Get a good gram scale so you can weigh him..then weigh every week. This will be a far better way to measure if he is putting on weight than just appearance. It can also take a month or more to see any significant change. If no weight gain at all in a month, and his activity/eating gets worse, he may have parasites or another condition so will need to bring a fresh stool sample for a fecal at a vet.

Posting some good current pictures will also be helpful as what you may think is a little skinny, could be perfectly find for a crested geckos

I suggest housing your crickets with the MRP as a food source and dusting the crickets with the MRP before feeding.

They should attack the crickets because of the movement, and the MRP fed and dusted cricket should associate the scent and taste of the MRP as a food source. After a week or two of this your gecko should begin taking the MRP.

"The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think. Oh by the way, which ones pink?"

Like I said, hes only eated one or two crickets. Hes only had one or two and he has touched the diet so I dont know if that will work. Couldnt hurt though.
